Fabulous Five

Redoute’s Choice, Sebring, More Than Ready (USA), Stratum, Exceed and Excel – anybody would love to buy a yearling by any one of these sires, which is why this Inglis Easter draft is a must see!.

Southern Highlands based nursery Rheinwood Pastoral is owned and run by Ray and Marilyn Willis, who have produced a stream of recent winners including Stamina, Repartee, Son of Ross, Upside Rock, Manhattan Rock, Stellaglacier, Montana Diamond, etc..

Other star graduates from Rheinwood Pastoral include Group II WATC Karrakatta Plate winner Luke’s Luck and stakes-winning stayer Unchain My Heart, a winner of more than $458,000 in prizemoney.

Rheinwood will present a quality draft of five yearlings at Inglis Easter:

Lot 123 Colt Sebring x Moulin Rouge – By the sire of the moment in Sebring, who has sired seven stakes-winners this season led by Group I winners Criterion and Dissident.

First foal of stakes-placed Moulin Rouge from a prolific Black Type family and has a double cross of legendary sire Danehill.

Lot 10 Filly More Than Ready (USA) x Flight of Dreams – By the sire of Sebring and is bred on the exact same cross as the Golden Slipper winner being from a daughter of champion sire Flying Spur.

Half-sister to Group III placed Flight of Pegasus and metro winner Kobi Sun from an unraced half-sister to Singapore Champion 3YO Recast and stakes-winner and sire Gonski.

Lot 213 Filly Stratum x Sky Risks (Fr) – From stakes-placed Sky Risks, who has had four foals to race that are all winners and comes from the family of Champion 2YO Hasna.

Half-sister to promising Peter Moody trained three year-old Stamina, who will be put back in work with spring goals in mind.

Lot 251 Colt Exceed and Excel x Thisideup – By champion stallion Exceed and Excel, the sire of Golden Slipper favourite Earthquake and Dubai Group I winning sprinter Amber Sky.

This colt has an important pedigree update as his three-quarter sister Upside Rock won at Bendigo last Thursday, so Thisideup has now had three foals to race all winners, a great result for the unraced sister to brilliant Group III winning filly Brief Embrace.

Lot 271 Colt Redoute’s Choice x Velocitea (NZ) – By outstanding sire Redoute’s Choice, who has left over 100 SW’s and numerous Group I producing sire sons, stamping himself as one of the all-time greats.

Second foal of brilliant sprinter Velocitea, winner of the Group I SAJC Goodwood Handicap. Her first foal, another colt by Redoute’s Choice, fetched $320,000 at Magic Millions last year when secured by Arrowfield Training. Named Limehills, he has had one start for Paul Messara finishing a close second at Canterbury back in January.

All yearlings will be available for inspection from Thursday morning at Newmarket.
