Producing winners is the name of the game and a winning double at Moonee Valley last Friday night for horses sold as yearlings by Rheinwood Pastoral highlights the success of this burgeoning Southern Highlands nursery.
The Peter Moody trained three year-old Zenon (3f Super Saver (USA) x Countess Christie) broke her maiden with a tenacious win in the opening event and later in the program it was the turn of the David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained Laqha (3f Stratum x Sky Risks (Fr), who posted her third win from nine starts.
Zenon was a $105,000 Inglis Premier purchase and Laqha was a $250,000 Inglis Easter purchase, both Rheinwood sold fillies shaping as though more wins are in store.
Situated at Mittagong on 142 undulating acres, Rheinwood Pastoral is owned and run by Ray and Marilyn Willis, who will present an outstanding draft of 10 youngsters at the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
